Au Pair in America is pleased to announce the winners of our fourth annual Flag Day Competition — where au pairs submit creative representations of the flags of their home countries. This year’s top three winning au pairs are:
- Lorène Kempf, an au pair from France, for “Sweet Lady Liberty.”
- Courtney Wright, an au pair from South Africa for a drawing of five representative animals on the South African flag.
- Manon Langeois, another au pair from France, for a Franco-American cake.
The Flag Day contest was sponsored by Au Pair in America’s Global Awareness program. The goal of Global Awareness is to expand educational and cultural exchange opportunities for au pairs to make personal connections and to share their culture with each other and people in the United States.
It was a lot of fun to see all of the creative ways our fantastic au pairs represented their flags and cultures this year. Congratulations to the winners of this year’s Flag Day Contest and thank you so much to everyone that participated. We appreciate your willingness to share what makes your homeland and au pair experience so special.
