Meet the Counselor
Welcome to my Au Pair in America Cluster!
My name is Bettina Velona and I have been servicing host families and au pairs in Cambridge, Somerville, Arlington and surrounding towns since 2007. On average, I have about 30 host families and au pairs. The Boston area has many other au pair clusters and the au pairs can take advantage of a large social network.
I am from Germany and moved to the United States in 1991, after traveling through the US and living with an American family in New Jersey. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology from Harvard Extension School and have worked as a German language specialist as well as a children’s counselor. I live in this area with my husband and 10 year old daughter. I am excited to bring in my personal and professional experience when working with au pairs and host families.
