Meet Susan ~ your counselor
My name is Susan Brostowin and I am the community counselor for the North Shore of Massachusetts and the seacoast area of New Hampshire. I have been a community counselor since 1994. I became a community cousnelor with APIA after hosting four young women as au pairs for my own children. I am a mother of three sons and a lifelong resident of Massachusetts. Traveling has always been a passion of mine and so by hosting au pairs, when my children were young, APIA allowed my family to meet wonderful people from all over the world and learn about many different cultures. By extension this job has allowed me to continue working with people from all over the world and families in my local community.
After having a wonderful experience for myself and my family hosting four lovely women, I was very excited to join Au Pair in America as a community counselor. Our au pairs, Sabine, Astrid, Alex and Anna helped me by taking wonderful care of my children and we enjoyed sharing our family and our culture with these young people. It was such a positive experience that I am proud to be able to continue helping other families and young women have this same opportunity.
