{"id":2,"date":"2010-05-27T09:41:33","date_gmt":"2010-05-27T13:41:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.aupairinamerica.com\/abc\/about\/"},"modified":"2015-09-15T17:36:28","modified_gmt":"2015-09-15T17:36:28","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.aupairinamerica.com\/abc\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"Meet the Counselors &#8211; Natasha, Jan &amp; Patty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1740\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.aupairinamerica.com\/abc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2010\/05\/CSC_0112-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"CSC_0112\" width=\"135\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.aupairinamerica.com\/abc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2010\/05\/CSC_0112-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blogs.aupairinamerica.com\/abc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2010\/05\/CSC_0112.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 135px) 100vw, 135px\" \/>\u00a0<strong>Natasha Wrobel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Welcome!\u00a0 My name is <strong>Natasha Wrobel<\/strong> and I am the senior community counselor for the greater <strong>Annapolis, Maryland<\/strong> area.\u00a0\u00a0 I have been a community counselor with Au Pair in America since 2000.\u00a0 In college I had the opportunity to study the German language in Austria at the University of Graz.\u00a0 Prior to becoming a counselor I was an attorney with the United States Air Force and was on active duty for nine years.\u00a0 In July of 2015 I retired from the Air Force Reserves after 20 years of service.\u00a0 Having lived abroad and studied a foreign language has served me well in connecting with au pairs from around the world in my role as a community counselor.\u00a0 Having hosted an au pair in my home has given me an understanding of the program from a host family perspective.\u00a0 It has been a joy to help facilitate a cultural exchange with these young women and American families as they introduce their children to other cultures and traditions.\u00a0\u00a0 It is a delight to witness our children gain a better appreciation of our world.\u00a0 So often host families stay in touch with their former au pairs for years, long after the au pair has returned to her home country, leaving our children with a greater understanding of community and family!\u00a0 This has been the most rewarding aspect for me to witness.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-92 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.aupairinamerica.com\/abc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2010\/05\/Janblog12-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Janblog1\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>\u00a0<strong>Jan Peedin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">My name is <strong>Jan Peedin<\/strong> and I have been an Au Pair in America Community Counselor in Maryland, since 1998.\u00a0 My area of coverage consists of <strong>Howard County, Carroll County, Laurel, Burtonsville, Brookville, a portion of Anne Arundal County<\/strong>. Typically I am responsible for 50-60 wonderful host families and their au pairs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">I feel privileged to meet and work with so many young woman from around the world. I admire their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the program. I have worked with the Au Pair in America program since 1995 and I continue to find it gratifying! My educational background is in Counseling Psychology and\u00a0Coaching. \u00a0I enjoy helping people discover what their goals and dreams are.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">I am married and have two children who are college age. They live away from home now but I keep in close contact with them.\u00a0Working with au pairs keeps me in touch with the age group of my own children.
