Families are invited to create a family time capsule and participate. Guests are also welcome to come see the time capsules on display, vote for their favorite and participate in the other family activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This will be a Fun Family Event featuring\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Time Capsule Fair<\/li>\n<li>Story Times<\/li>\n<li>Back to School Organization Tips for Parents<\/li>\n<li>Temporary Tattoos<\/li>\n<li>Coloring &amp; Crafts<\/li>\n<li>Door Prize Drawings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A Time Capsule is a container that includes items and information that share what it was like to live in a particular period of time. After the time capsule fair, you can seal up your capsule and mark it \u201cNot to be opened until 2036.\u201d It could be buried or just tucked away in your attic. It will be a lot of fun looking back at the items 25 years from now!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Download a Complete Time Capsule Activity Plan <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/viewer?a=v&amp;pid=explorer&amp;chrome=true&amp;srcid=0BwawGFIhZfg5NGY4ZDc1Y2ItOTRiMy00ZDI0LTkyZjUtODI2YjU3ZjUyYzE3&amp;hl=en_US\">HERE<\/a> <\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Time Capsule Fair Rules:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Register <a href=\"https:\/\/spreadsheets.google.com\/spreadsheet\/viewform?formkey=dEJvUDFGVnJmMGp3cS1KaFJDbnF1S1E6MQ\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a> online (preferred) or the day of the event.<\/li>\n<li>You may use any container and include whatever items you choose.<\/li>\n<li>You may work together as a family to create one family time capsule or each child may create and enter their own.<\/li>\n<li>Each entry will have a 2\u2019 x 2 1\/2\u2019 table space to display their time capsule and it\u2019s contents.<\/li>\n<li>Backboards are allowed, but not required.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Each family who enters the time capsule will receive a gift bag.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Time capsules should be checked in and set-up between 1:00 and 2:00 PM to be included.<\/li>\n<li>Judging will take place at 2:30 PM.<\/li>\n<li>Award presentations and prize drawings will be held at 2:45 PM.<\/li>\n<li>If you want to take your time capsule home, it needs to be picked up by 3:30 PM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information, please call Christine Connally at 301-860-1314 or email at cicaupair @ gmail.com (without the spaces.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the severe weather from Hurricane Irene that is anticipated on Saturday, the event will be be canceled.
