\nOur\u00a0 cluster event was held at the Westport Arts Center.\u00a0 Au Pairs from Westport, New Canaan and Weston toured\u00a0 Lynsey Addario\u2019s\u00a0 Pulitizer Prize winning photographic exhibit\u00a0 On the Wire: Veiled Rebellion, photos\u00a0 of women in Afghanistan.\u00a0 Lynsey Addario, a Westport native, is an American photojournalist based in London, where she photographs for The New York Times, National Geographic, and Time Magazine. In 2000, she traveled to Afghanistan under Taliban rule to document life and oppression under the Taliban. She has since covered conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Darfur, Congo, and Libya, and shoots features across the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa. Lynsey was named by Newsweek magazine as one of the \u201c150 Fearless Women\u201d” and in 2010 Lynsey was named one of 20 women on Oprah Winfrey\u2019s Power List, for her \u201cPower of Bearing Witness\u201d.\u00a0 A truly eye opening exhibit for us all.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
