Click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oes.org\/html\/how_2_identify_different_ticks.html\">HERE<\/a> to see examples of ticks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 13px;margin-top: 3px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 10px;margin-left: 0px;padding: 0px\"><strong>Where are ticks commonly found?<\/strong> &#8211; Ticks are normally found in areas with trees, bushes or tall grass. This includes back yards, parks, nature areas and most places you would be spending time with the children outdoors in the nice weather.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 13px;margin-top: 3px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 10px;margin-left: 0px;padding: 0px\"><strong>What needs to be done?<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0When you return home from areas where ticks might live, carefully check the children (their skin and scalp) for ticks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 13px;margin-top: 3px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 10px;margin-left: 0px;padding: 0px\">\n<p style=\"font-family: Arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 13px;margin-top: 3px;margin-right: 0px;margin-bottom: 10px;margin-left: 0px;padding: 0px\">Most ticks do not carry diseases, and most tick bites do not cause serious health problems. But it is important to remove a tick as soon as you find it.
