Not having these items can result in your receiving a ticket (citation) from a police officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Essential Documents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Car&nbsp;Registration Card*<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insurance Card*<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/viewer?a=v&amp;pid=explorer&amp;chrome=true&amp;srcid=0BwawGFIhZfg5ODk1MjUzODEtYzRjMy00YjkwLWI1MWItNzk2MmFkMjZlY2Uz&amp;hl=en\">Car Accident Emergency Form<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1aSmvEJsl74dpt5x9YqTEOH2IXZ0WJfrY\/view\">Maryland International Driver\u2019s Law<\/a>\u00a0(this is to be shown to a police officer if you are stopped while driving with your country license and international driver\u2019s permit and no Maryland license)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>*Some host parents may tell you to carry these in your wallet instead of keeping them in the car.&nbsp;Follow their instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Helpful Extras<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flashlight<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tire Pressure Gauge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicle Owner\u2019s Manual<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Map or GPS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tissues and Hand Sanitizer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First Aid Kit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In Your Wallet<\/strong><br>Carry your Maryland license or country driver\u2019s license and international driver\u2019s permit with you at all times, especially&nbsp;when you are driving.
