Not having these items can  result in your receiving a ticket (citation) from a police officer.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>Essential Documents<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Car\u00a0Registration Card*<\/li>\n<li>Insurance Card*<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/viewer?a=v&amp;pid=explorer&amp;chrome=true&amp;srcid=0BwawGFIhZfg5ODk1MjUzODEtYzRjMy00YjkwLWI1MWItNzk2MmFkMjZlY2Uz&amp;hl=en\">Car Accident Emergency Form<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mva.maryland.gov\/Resources\/DL-002A.pdf\">Pages 5 &amp; 6\u00a0from MD Driver\u2019s Handbook<\/a> (Highlight  the part that says the\u00a0\u201dPersons\u00a0Exempt from Licensing\u201d and continuing  onto page 6 \u201cAny nonresident of this state provided that\u2026\u201d)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*Some host parents may tell you to carry these in your wallet instead of keeping them in the car.\u00a0Follow their instructions.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000080\">Helpful Extras<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Flashlight<\/li>\n<li>Tire Pressure Gauge<\/li>\n<li>Vehicle Owner\u2019s Manual<\/li>\n<li>Map or GPS<\/li>\n<li>Tissues and Hand Sanitizer<\/li>\n<li>First Aid Kit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>In Your Wallet<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span>Carry your Maryland license or country driver\u2019s license and  international driver\u2019s permit with you at all times, especially\u00a0when you  are driving.
