If you wake up feeling\u00a0kind of down for no particular reason, putting on\u00a0your favorite outfit can help you walk out the door\u00a0feeling a lot more confident. You will get lots of\u00a0compliments, too!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>2. Stretch and Breathe!<\/strong> Anytime you want to calm\u00a0your nerves and get a boost of endorphins, all you\u00a0have to do is take a moment to stretch and breathe\u00a0deeply for at least 5 minutes. You will feel calmer,\u00a0centered, and ready to take on the world. It\u00a0definitely works!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>3. Make a Gratitude List!<\/strong> When you start feeling\u00a0overwhelmed, stressed out, and overcome with the\u00a0feeling that your life is completely unfair, an easy\u00a0way to regain perspective is to make a list of\u00a0everything you\u2019re grateful for now! The list can\u00a0include basic freedoms, small luxuries, and of\u00a0course, the people who matter most to you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>4. Call Someone You Love!<\/strong> Chose the most\u00a0supportive person you can think of. It could be\u00a0your mom or a close friend. Know in advance who\u00a0you can turn to in a crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>5. Get Some Sun!<\/strong> When sunlight hits your skin, it\u00a0triggers the production of Vitamin D. Scientific\u00a0studies have shown that a deficient amount of\u00a0Vitamin D is directly related to a dip in mood for\u00a0certain people. Put on some sunscreen and go\u00a0outside, even on a winter day!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>6. Exercise!<\/strong> Take a walk, ride a bike, go to the gym.\u00a0You\u2019ve probably heard of \u201crunner\u2019s high,\u201d caused\u00a0by the mood-boosting endorphins (aka \u201cfeel good\u00a0hormones\u201d) your brain naturally releases when you\u00a0exert yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>7. Listen to Your Favorite Song!<\/strong> Have a go-to song\u00a0that you listen to when you need a quick burst of\u00a0energy is a great asset to your happy vault. Putting\u00a0on your favorite song can trigger the brain to\u00a0release large amounts of dopamine, a chemical that\u00a0sends \u201cfeel good\u201d signals to the rest of the body\u00a0and plays a role in both motivation and addiction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>8. Do Something for Someone Else!<\/strong> When you give\u00a0yourself to others you will feel the reward.
