IDEAS FOR HOT DAYS!

When it’s too hot  to take  the kids  outside, here are some things to do indoors:

String Painting- cut string into various lengths. Dip the string lengths into bowls of children’s paints and then let each fall onto a piece of paper ( allow a portion of the string to hang off of the paper).  Fold the paper in half, with string and paint on the inside; the pull the strin g out  while  the paper is held shut with one  hand.

Food Jewelry- string macaroni, Cheerios, noodles, or straws on string. You can make necklaces, bracelets, anklets or even belts.

Make Blueberry Cobbler:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt 1/2 stick of butter into a 3 quart casserole baking dish. Mix 3/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder with 1 cup flour and 1 cup of milk. Pour this over the butter; do not mix. Pour 1 pint of blueberries(rinsed and drained)  on  top. Bake  at 350 degrees for one hour. Serve with or without ice cream!
