Schools already have, or are\u00a0 about to open. Your host child or children\u00a0 may have a backpack and it is up to you to manage\u00a0 it.\u00a0 Here are\u00a0 some hints: Do this everyday!<\/p>\n
Find the homework. Set it out in the homework area and gather any supplies needed. As homework\u00a0 is completed it belongs\u00a0 back in the\u00a0 backpack. Organize your host child\/children!<\/p>\n
If there is a lunch box, empty it\u00a0 and wipe it out. Let the host family know if anything was not eaten.<\/p>\n
Find any notices sent home and put them aside\u00a0 for the host parents. Note any activities and put those on the master calendar.\u00a0 If there is material that must be signed and\/or acted upon, make sure the host parents are aware and put them back, signed, etc, into the backpack\u00a0 to be returned to school, if necessary.<\/p>\n
Prepare the next day’s snack and\/or lunch and make sure it is ready to go back\u00a0 into the backpack the next morning. What else\u00a0 does the child\/children need\u00a0 for the day? Clean gym clothes- a show and tell item. Make\u00a0 sure all is in the backpack the night\u00a0 before.<\/p>\n
At the end of the week, make sure that the backpack and or lunchbox are\u00a0 cleaned thoroughly.\u00a0 These items are big\u00a0 breeding grounds for germs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
