Meet the Counselor
Greetings from your counselor, Imelda Farrell!
I came to the United States from Ireland many years ago. It was then that I met and married my husband, David, who grew up in the area. I am the mother of three children; two teenage boys, Ryan and Conor and a teenage girl, Aileen. Needless to say, my children keep me very active and busy!
My educational background comes from studying a Bachelor’s degree in Ireland. Since 1989 I have been involved in various aspects of the AuPair program, with both incoming and outgoing au pairs. I hope that my experience will prove useful to au pairs and host family throughout the program year.
I love to travel and meet new people. Having lived and traveled extensively in many countries, I can relate very well to the cultural exchange that the AuPair program offers. I truly feel lucky to be a part of this wonderful program that really does “bring the world together”!
