Meet the Au Pair in America Presenters
One of our expert trainers is Diane Wallace. Diane has been a Community Counselor with Au Pair in America for 25 years and a Field Representative for 23 years. She directly supports au pairs and host families just outside of Washington, DC as well as hiring, training, and supporting new field staff for Au Pair in America.
Diane says, “My favorite webinars we have done so far are the first two we did in 2020 and 2021 when all that was on our host family’s minds was the pandemic.”
Diane also loved hosting sessions like “How to Have Productive, Painless Conversations with Your Au Pair” and “How to Succeed as Host Parents: The Dos, The Don’ts, and Everything in Between.” These webinars contain vital information, easily applicable to any time and any host family.
Our other expert trainer is Denise Eliopoulos. Denise has been a Community Counselor with Au Pair in America for 20 years, supporting host families and au pairs in New Jersey. Additionally, Denise has been a Field Representative for the past 10 years, providing guidance and training for Au Pair in America’s field staff. Before joining the team, her background was in sales and marketing.
Of all the host family webinars, Denise shares that her favorite topic is “Holidays with Your Au Pair.” Another training topic Denise successfully tackled was focused on the challenges of hosting an au pair during the COVID-19 pandemic. The training team created a timely webinar that addressed the unique issues related to hosting during social distancing and travel bans.
When asked about why Host Family Webinars are important, Denise said, “Hosting an au pair is a lifestyle decision — it allows a family the unique experience to make a lifelong connection with the au pair that they are hosting. We hope these webinars help families make the most of this opportunity.”
After years of hosting Host Family Webinars, one of the most significant takeaways for our training team is how hungry host families are for this kind of connection.
The webinars provide a wealth of information and give host families an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation. This level of engagement and support is vital to the success of the program and the host family and au pair experience.
Au Pair in America’s trainers, including Diane and Denise, are a critical component of the program’s success. Their years of experience and expertise provide valuable guidance and support to host families and au pairs alike. The webinars they provide offer an opportunity for connection and engagement, addressing important topics that are relevant for today’s families.
Au Pair in America’s training team is always open to suggestions for upcoming topics, and they invite host families to join them in these valuable sessions.
