Jasmin is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She graduated from Baton Rouge High School and attended Louisiana State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and was a member of the LSU Golden Girl dance team for several years. She then attended the University of North Texas where she earned a Masters of Science degree in Kinesiology (emphasis in Exercise Physiology) and was a North Texas Dancer. Jasmin lived in Dallas, TX for 8 yrs where she was also a Dallas Mavericks Dancer and a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.
Jasmin taught elementary school for 7 years. She was awarded “Teacher of the Year” twice. She was recognized in the Dallas Independent School District and at Belmont Charter School in Philadelphia. After moving back to Baton Rouge in 2010, she became quickly involved in community volunteerism while being a stay-at-home mother. Nowadays, she can be seen actively volunteering in the Junior League of Baton Rouge. Jasmin is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
She is wife Nakia and the mother of 4 boys. Jasmin is the Baton Rouge area Community Counselor for Au Pair in America and a Hot Pilates & Hot Yoga Instructor at Preservation Yoga Studio. She thoroughly enjoys being a role model to young girls and helping other women succeed in life.
Jasmin has been in the Au Pair program as a host mom since 2013. She has experience on both sides of the fence and has unique insight as to what families experience while hosting an Au Pair. This additional experience is a benefit that serves her Baton Rouge cluster community and really understands the need for dependable childcare. She also strives to provide host families with services to make participating in the program easier and more rewarding.
