I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, but spent a few years living in Venezuela and Belgium during my younger years. This time living abroad instilled in me a love for travel and cross-cultural communication. I later studied International Studies and Spanish at American University and during this time, spent a semester studying in Chile and traveling to Argentina, Brazil and Peru. Before joining Au Pair in America in January of 2019, I got my teaching license with the DC Teaching Fellows. I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish for nine years to students in grades K-8. I live in the Hyde Park area with my husband and two young daughters. During my free time, I enjoy running, reading and exploring the city with my family and friends.
