Host Family International Day 2015
Host Family International Day in City Park
Host families, children and au pairs gathered for our annual picnic and Host Family International Day in City Park this past Sunday.
Great company, delicious food and beautiful weather made the event especially successful.
While the parents enjoyed conversation, the children exercised their creativity at the crafts table, tried to eat a bagel off a string (look, ma, no hands!) and gamely faced the challenge of tied-leg races.
Multicultural awareness was brought to the forefront by everybody trying to connect world capitals to their respective countries!
The whole group enjoyed tasty food typical of different countries prepared by our wonderful au pairs.
A great time was had by all!

Host Family International Day
Despite earlier threat from the tropical storm Karen, we had fabulous weather for our Host Family International Day in City Park. The children enjoyed making Friendship Rings and playing around the oaks while host parents and au pairs chatted about their experiences with the program and cultural adaptations.

Spring in City Park
It was not exactly spring, which will officially start on March 20th, but the weather last Sunday was definitely spring-like: warm, odiferous and capricious. After being rained on and blown around by heavy winds, au pairs enjoyed hiding out in the newly installed shelter in City Park⦠to emerge on a beautifully sunny afternoon not much later.
