Hello! I’m Kimberley and I’ve been with APIA since late 2025. I’m married to an English citizen and we’ve lived and traveled the world extensively over the last several decades and I adore getting to experience “foreign” ways of life and true exchange of cultures… foods, customs and languages… it’s all so remarkable! That’s my “why” for being a community counselor… supporting the adaptation of the cultural exchange part of our international au pair program for all parties involved! Simple exchanges, meals, weekends, sports, hobbies and so much more vary from culture to culture. What fabulous things to welcome an au pair or BE an au pair who is welcomed!

I’m originally from the Pacific Northwest but will never return to live in that region as I now love THE SUN and the vibe of Savannah and Coastal Georgia/South Carolina is simply wonderful. I try to travel often, splitting my time between “pet sit exchanges” and actual vacations, and have found a balanced groove of adventure balanced with working from home and trying to get my book published! I’ll be in this region till retirement and then we will become international “silver nomads” – spending three months in various countries ongoing for as long as we are physically able!
