Hi!

My name is Paulette Millander and I have been the San Diego Community Counselor for Au Pair in America since 2000.

I  meet au pairs from all over the world and assist them as they settle into their jobs  as  child care providers  for San Diego families.

The Au Pair in America program offers flexible childcare with a cultural flair.

Many San Diego families recognize the value of cultural exchange and are still in touch with au pairs who lived with them years ago!

As a host family,  your children will have the opportunity to live with someone from another culture. That  is a very valuable experience!

As the community counselor, I am here to serve you and the au pairs by answering questions, lending an ear, and assisting you to insure that  everything is going well.

I go out with the au pairs once a month. In March, we always go whale watching! In July, we go ocean kayyaking!

I have as much fun as they do!

Personally, I am a former English/Reading  teacher.  I love to walk, hike, watch foreign films, and read historical fiction! When I’m feeling creative I collage and paint with acrylics.

I’ve lived in San Diego since 1984.
