This month, au pairs gathered at my apartment for a breakfast. Au pairs that have little ones were able to bring their kids, who were the center of attention.
We started saying good-bye to a couple of au pairs who are going home over the summer. They shared their experience and discussed future plans.

This January we met for a multi-cluster snowtubing event at Nashoba Valley Snowtubing Park. Over 50 au pairs attended this annual event and had a lot of fun exploring this activity.
Counselors prepared hot chocolate and snacks that waited for au pairs after they came in from tubing the slopes to warm up.

This December, we gathered with 3 other clusters at the Arlington Center for the Arts to celebrate the holidays.
We enjoyed food that we all contributed, holiday music and caroling, a yankee swap, as well as a visit by Santa.

Our November cluster meeting was a self-defense course at Together in Motion in East Arlington. 2 other clusters joined us.
Through a mixture of lecture and exercises, au pairs learned how to be more aware of potential aggressors and how to deter them.

This month is Halloween month, so I decided to invite my au pairs for pumpkin carving. Au pairs were very creative in making designs for their pumpkins and had a good time together.

Once a year, we offer a host family workshop. We always make it a fun event that is interesting to host families. They usually bring their au pairs, too. This year we met at the Honey Pot Hill farm and we met with families from other clusters. Host families usually bring their au pairs as this is a New England tradition that is a meaningful cultural experience.
We provided educational host family material, delicious apple cider and apple cider donuts and art activities for the kids. We had a great turnout, awesome weather and a lot of fun!

In April, our au pair cluster met a few other clusters and visited the skywalk. We had nice weather and amazing views of Boston.
We said good-bye to Lisa and Veronika and welcomed Natasha. For more photos go to skywalk.
Our cluster meeting in August was an outing to McGolf in Dedham. It was a small meeting as many au pairs are vacationing in the summer, either by themselves or with their host families.
We welcomed Karina and Natalie from Germany to our cluster and said
good-bye to Kongfang.
After our round of minigolf, we enjoyed some ice cream and chatted a bit more.

On a beautiful Sunday in April, we joined three other local au pair clusters and visited the Prudential Center Skywalk. It was about 50 of us and we had a great time.
We met in the food court first to chat, collect money and take care of au pair business. We welcomed new au pair Eye and said good-bye to Carolina who is moving to another au pair cluster.
Once on the 50th floor, we enjoyed an audio tour and a beautiful view of Boston and its surroundings
This January, we joined other Boston area clusters for some night time snowtubing at Nashoba Valley. Au pairs had a good time on the slopes as well as in the lodge. Counselors provided hot chocolate and snacks.
We said good-bye to Alita and Aurore who are finished with their au pair year. We welcomed new au pair Vanessa to our group.
