Happy Easter to Everyone!
Enjoy time with family and friends on this day commemorating the resurrection of Jesus. A fun event in the area is the Easter Parade which takes place on Fifth Avenue in New York City on Easter Sunday. It’s not a traditional parade, more of a street festival. Go and check out the crazy hats and costumes being shown off on people AND dogs!
Au Pairs Learn Community Service at Recent Meeting.
With April being Community Service Month in the US, the April Cluster Meeting was dedicated to performing a community service project. Au pairs from the Glen Ridge/West Orange/Verona/Essex Fells worked together with au pairs from Montclair to prepare over 230 bag lunches for St. Johns Soup Kitchen, located in Newark, NJ. Through this work, the girls not only learned the meaning of community service in the US, but also were able to give back to the less fortunate of their temporary home.
Au Pairs "Bowled Away" At March Meeting.
About a dozen Au Pair in America au pairs got together Sunday at Eagle Rock Lanes in West Orange for an afternoon of bowling. Everyone enjoyed having the opportunity to visit with each other while playing this classic American sport. Many of the au pairs had bowled before in their home countries, however for some, it was their first time bowling. Everyone had a great time during this fun event!
