DENTAL CARE OPTIONS

Dental Coverage is VERY LIMITED for au pairs.  If you have  comprehensive  insurance coverage, you will have a maximum of $500 in dental coverage.  Basic insurance has NO dental coverage.

Basic dental care involves brushing and flossing your teeth at least 2 times per day, seeing your dentist and/or dental hygienist for regular checkups and cleanings, and eating a mouth-healthy diet, which means foods high in whole grains, vegetables and fruits, and dairy products.

In the USA there more hidden sugars and chemicals in our foods.  Your teeth go through culture shock just just like your brain.  To avoid the high cost of dental care take care of your teeth.

I HIGHLY recommend for every au pair go to a dentist for a 6 month check up for dental check up and maintenance.  The best place to find a reasonability priced dental cleaning is on the discount sites: Groupon and Living Social.  It will typically cost $45-$60 for this check up but can save you BIG $$$$!  Invest in your health!!

Step 1:  Call Team Assist to check if your dental needs are covered under the First Health Network Place.  Team Assist # is: (855) 327-1411.

Step 2:  If you are not able to get a referral from Team Assist, there are no specific dentists I can refer to in the event of a dental emergency.  In the past, the Dental Clinic listed below have assisted au pairs with discounted services.
