Thank you to all of the au pair host families that submitted essays nominating their au pairs for Au Pair of the Year 2015. This annual contest is a way to acknowledge the hard work and contribution of the very best of the best au pairs. We received so many impressive and heartwarming stories this year, and after careful consideration, we have selected an Au Pair of the Year winner and two runners up.
It is our pleasure to announce the Au Pair of the Year Award winners for 2015:
Winner – Mathilda Ljung, an au pair from Sweden
Runner Up – Brighit Lopez Vega, an au pair from Peru
Runner Up – Janine Rhecker, an au pair from Germany
We are thrilled to honor these remarkable young women that have helped transform American families with cultural exchange and compassionate child care.
The Au Pair of the Year winner receives two round-trip tickets to reconnect with her host family in the future, and each of the runners up receives one round-trip ticket for a host family reunion down the road. All receive well-deserved recognition on the Au Pair in America website.
