The New Canaan Advertiser recently shared a story about our au pairs volunteering with the local Young Women’s League for their annual Easter event. They write:
Over a dozen au pairs from Au Pair in America who are living and working in New Canaan helped the Young Women’s League stuff 10,000 Easter eggs in advance of the town-wide hunt this past Saturday, then volunteered on the morning of the hunt selling cupcakes and novelties.
The Young Women’s League was so kind as to follow up with a Letter to the Editor thanking all of their volunteers:
The YWL would like to thank all of its members, Au Pair in America and the many community volunteers who gathered together to stuff more than 10,000 eggs and staffed the event.
All proceeds for the Easter Egg Hunt will go toward the Young Women’s League of New Canaan Giving Fund, which directly funds grants awarded to women and children in our community. Thank you to all those in our community who come year after year to support the YWL Easter Egg Hunt. You enable the YWL to offer grants to so many in need.
Thank you to all of our au pairs who volunteered their time! So many of our au pairs have made great strides to learn about American culture and make a difference in their community and we want to hear about it! Don’t forget to share your story for our 2015 Community Service Awards.
