The weather outside is getting a little too cold, so when building a snowman is out of the question, start making some Valentine’s Day crafts with the kids. We gathered a few of our favorite ideas for making cards, gifts and even a little something for the birds!
- Valentine’s canvas footprints – a great project to do with little ones that’s also a great gift for parents. All you need are a few craft supplies and “some cute little feet!” Head over to Paging Fun Mums for the details.
- Heart-shaped bird feeders – perfect for kids who love animals, and a sweet treat for the birds in the middle of winter. You can use cookie cutters, or find a tray with heart shapes to make it a little easier. Head over to No Time for Flash Cards to get the details.
- Food art – a fun idea for kids who like to play with their food! Get some red paint and some celery ends and create some beautiful flower paintings with the kids. You can experiment with other foods too! Head over to Mommy Gaga to see photos and other Valentine’s craft ideas.
- Bee mine – help the kids make a cute card for parents, teachers or friends. Older kids can cut out the shapes themselves, but it’s great for younger kids too – just cut out the different pieces they’ll need and help them with the steps to assemble the bee.
