The National Education Association’s Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2nd – Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
Dr. Seuss wrote many children’s books – The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Hop on Pop to name a few. March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’s birthday, what better way to celebrate than to read?
Did you know Dr. Seuss would be 116 this year? While he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the pages of his books. He forever changed the way children’s books were written and continues to inspire generations.
To honor Dr. Seuss’ love of reading and his inspiration for kids and adults alike, across the country on March 2nd, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers will participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books, and you can too!
