Photo #3. Congratulations to Pamela from Brazil!
By the way, I hope this is my last post involving snow for at least 9 months! 🙂
Take a walk outside and look for signs of spring – swelling buds on the trees, flowers poking up from the ground, more birds back in the trees.

For many of our au pairs this winter was their first time experiencing snow. I’m guessing it was exciting the first couple times, but eventually it loses it’s novelty and you just feel very chilly. I think we can all agree that winter has been fun, but we are ready to move onto Spring! Let’s take a look back at some of the great snowmen and snow-women that were created.
Please vote for HERE your favorite. You may vote daily through March 19 and share the link with friends and family via email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
The winning au pair will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card.
Au pairs representing over 35 different countries will provide: children’s activities, performances, visual displays, face painting and a cultural parade. This event is open to the public. Anyone interested in learning about other cultures and the Au Pair in America program are invited.

Daylight Saving Time
During DST, clocks are turned forward an hour, effectively moving an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening. Today, approximately 70 countries worldwide utilize Daylight Saving Time in at least some portion of the country. If you don’t come from one of those countries, I am guessing that the idea may seem strange.
Before you go to bed on March 8, be sure to set the clocks forward one hour!
St. Patrick’s Day is March 17.
Here are some great ideas of things to do with the kids to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on our APIA Pinterest Board.
