Father’s Day is celebrated each year in the U.S. on the third Sunday in June. This year that is June 15.
It would be a nice gesture to do something for your host dad. You could help the children make a surprise for her or give him a card yourself. Don’t forget to send a special message to your own father, back home.

June 17 – The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the people of France in 1885 to recognize the French-American cooperation during the American Revolution. She stands 305 feet (93 meters) high in New York Harbor. The seven rays on her crown represent the seven continents and seven seas of the world.
Grandparents Day is celebrated on the first Sunday after Labor Day. This year that will be September 11. This is not a widely celebrated holiday, but most grandparents would still appreciate being remembered and would particularly enjoy a homemade gift or card. Work with your children to create a simple but special surprise. Use a photo of the child or the child and the grandparent to make it even more special.
