Announcing the winners of the 2017 Au Pair Community Service Awards!
These awards are a special way Au Pair in America celebrates au pairs making a difference through volunteer work—above and beyond their contributions as child care providers, students and cultural ambassadors—enriching communities across the country.
The Grand Prize Winners for the 2017 Au Pair Community Service Awards are:
1st Place: Ana María Zerecero Núñez
Ana María is an au pair from the Mexico living with a host family in Illinois. She donated time helping at a pediatric clinic for special needs children.
2nd Place: Rebecca Cerpentier
Rebecca is an au pair from The Netherlands living with a host family in Georgia. She served her community volunteering at local schools.
3rd Place: Grace Naude
Grace is an au pair from South Africa living with a host family in Georgia. She earned this recognition by serving her host community working with several organizations including her local church and volunteering at a number of events.
In addition to the Grand Prize Winners at the national level, Au Pair in America awarded fourteen winners of 2017 Au Pair Community Service Awards at the local level:
The greatest rewards of community service are intrinsic: the good feelings you get from helping others and the personal connections you make. It is an honor to acknowledge—and celebrate—the good works of so many fantastic au pairs.
